How to Use Acne Patches Properly

1. Clean Your Face and Keep It Dry Start by washing your face with a gentle cleanser, ensuring that your skin is completely dry. This will help the acne patch adhere effectively.

2. Position the Patch Correctly Place the acne patch directly over the pimple or pus head. Press gently for 3-5 seconds to secure it in place.

3. Apply Moisturizer and Sunscreen After applying the patch, you can use moisturizer and sunscreen around the area to keep your skin protected.

4. Avoid Prolonged Wear It’s recommended not to wear acne patches for more than 8 hours. If the patch turns white and swells, it’s best to remove it.

5. Post-Removal Care After removing the patch, if any pus remains on the skin, gently dab it off with a cotton swab. Wait until there’s no fluid on the surface, then apply fusidic acid or a similar antibacterial cream to support healing.

6. Avoid Using Alcohol or Iodine If the pimple opens, try not to disinfect it with alcohol or iodine, as these can irritate the skin and worsen inflammation.

7. Refrain from Squeezing the Acne Avoid squeezing pimples before or after applying the acne patch, as this is a major cause of acne scarring and marks.
